2. Who seriously thought he would do otherwise?
He’s a Republican and it’s an important vote. Obviously he was going to be whipped into toeing the party line to get the vote through.

4. Yeah, but he's retiring and doesn't have to worry about re-election...
...What's he got to lose? Besides future speaking fees, that is...

9. I think he's looking at running for Governor, or even the presidency.
Has to keep his deplorable base happy.

3. Wish I could say I was surprised, but he votes with Trump nearly 100 percent of the time.
I'm sure he's "very concerned" and "quite troubled" over Kavanaugh's character though.

5. Another committed member of the Resistance.
Reminding us why we don't make alliances with right wingers.

6. Well that leaves Collins,Murkowski,Manchin and Donnely?
Once Collins and Murkowski receive all the threats from Republicans..they will vote to confirm so we are screwed.
For what it was worth I called Senator Donnelly's office and expressed my comment to a real person but what good it will do is yet to be seen.. If Republicans push this through then Democrats will win both Houses and I don't see how they can screw this up but I don't have a lot of faith in Perez. After they backed down from challenging Nunes.. |

12. I tried calling both DC and local office for Donnelly and it was busy.

13. I got through to Donnelly's Indy office and I actually talked to a real person
I voiced my opinion and strongly encouraged him to vote NO for Kavanagh confirmation.
Now Donnelly is leading hi opponent by 4-6 points. But I believe if he votes to confirm, Donnelley will lose because he will lose the Women's vote.. |

7. Flake was always going to vote to confirm. No one should be surprised about that.

8. Flake might have voted "no" if the other 3 he met with were going to do the same.
Does this mean Murkowski, Collins and Manchin will also vote to confirm? Or is Flake voting yes purely because his twisted mind tells him he can't become POTUS otherwise?

10. Keep up the pressure, but there might be a slight glimmer of hope, a very slight one.
.
Flake could have stopped this in his tracks and spared Murkowski and Collins the grief of a vote. However, Collins, Flake, Manchin & Murkowski supposedly have an agreement to vote as a bloc. In order for them to do this, Flake has to release the nomination to a full floor vote. Perhaps Murkowski wants to go on record stopping him, so there is no doubt she supports the indigenous of AK. . |

11. Parties don't tank their own nominees. This was a done deal from day 1. nt
