"Why didn't somebody call the FBI 36 years ago?" says stupid Trump

https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/20/politics/trump-kavanaugh-fbi-assault/index.html

"Why didn't somebody call the FBI 36 years ago? I mean you could also say when did this all happen, what's going on? To take a man like this and besmirch -- now with that being said, let her have her say and let's see how it all works out," Trump said during an interview on Fox News just before his rally in Las Vegas.

He said that? All by himself? No teleprompter? Never knew he knew such big word, much less what it means.

Trump Defends Roy Moore, Citing Candidate’s Denial of Sexual Misconduct

“He totally denies it,” Mr. Trump said of Mr. Moore, who has been accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl and sexually assaulting another teenager.

Asked by a reporter about whether electing “a child molester” was better than electing a Democrat in the Alabama race, Mr. Trump responded by insisting that Mr. Moore denies the charges against him.

“He says it didn’t happen,” the president told reporters at the White House. “You have to listen to him, also.”

The president suggested that the passage of time, and the fact that Mr. Moore’s accusers did not come forward earlier, should call into question the accusations. And he noted that Mr. Moore has been elected repeatedly by voters in Alabama.

“I do have to say, 40 years is a long time,” Mr. Trump said as he left for a five-day Thanksgiving vacation at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Fla. “He’s run eight races, and this has never come up. So 40 years is a long time.”

We heard earlier today that even WH insiders are astonished that Spanky was laying low, and has been (uncharacteristically) silent in speaking about the Kavanaugh situation.

Apparently, he's already chaffing at whatever leash his handlers thought they'd restrained him by.

Take cover, everyone - I predict incoming tweets.

The FBI wouldn't have, and still doesn't have jurisdiction, it wasn't a federal crime.

He's just STUPID. First, any person with half a brain would know that you call the local police to report such a crime and second, any sane person knows that a young girl would be terrified of not being believed, of being shamed and socially shunned.

You just didn't. Like you didn't talk about child abuse or spousal abuse. It was so shameful that you just kept it hidden even from yourself.

Back then a person would have been shamed just for bringing the the topic up. You didn't get involved in other people's lives.

Or at least that is how it was in our family.
