Should this Manafort plea deal have any effect on the Kavanaugh confirmation to the Court?

It seems like it has thrown an even darker shadow across the Trump White House than may have been there before?

Perhaps the President of the United States should not be making appointments to the Supreme Court while under such deep suspicions? At the very least, the confirmation of Kavanaugh should be delayed until this matter is a little more clear.

Of course, the Republicans in the Senate do not want to wait until after the election. Because they may not be in charge after the election, although they will still be in power until January, regardless of how the elections turn out? There really is no reason not to postpone this hearing until the people and their representatives know more about the role Donald Trump has played in this investigation.

1. Russiapublicans are desperate to save their own skins and are counting on Kavanaugh

...but he seems to be a weak sniveling twit. I think they are fucked.

3. I'll be blunt: no

First, there is still no official record of Russian interference(that Mueller has issued) and even if there was, the election is still legitimate. Whatever influenced them, people voted in such as way as to give Trump enough Electoral Votes, and our Constitution doesn't address "do-overs".

Second, there's no actual charge, much less a proven one, against Trump. He's President, he has the right to nominate Judges, and the Senate has the job of approving or rejecting them.

Sometimes, reality sucks.

6. With Cohen's guilty plea...

He said Trump knew. He is an un-indicted co-conspirator.

8. That is an accusation; not a proven one and not one he's been indicted for.

Do you want a situation where Republicans can stop a Democratic President's actions based on an unproven charge?

4. Should it? In a sane party, yes.

In the GOP, no.
