**BREAKING** Rasmussen Poll (R) Andrew Gillium 48% Ron De Trumpis 42%

Democrat Andrew Gillum holds a six-point lead over Republican Ron DeSantis in the race to be Florida’s next governor.

The first Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of the race finds that Gillum earns 48% support to DeSantis’ 42% among Likely Florida Voters. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Among voters who say they are certain to vote in the upcoming election, Gillum leads 49% to 44%

Anyone who lives in Florida knows that is not a 6 point race. It is difficult to create a 6 point gap in this state even if you intentionally try to pick the weakest candidate from one side and best from the other.

Betting line is pick-em. That is more representative of this race than a 6 point poll.

I am optimistic but I never have any problem laughing at stupid polls, like the ones that come out of Alaska and Georgia every cycle
