1. I'd give a paycheck if it would ensure people were aware...
of even the most basic of fallacies; as even the most clever of people (or so they allege to us) are guilty of these time and time again.

4. Yes, a number of names for that. My favorite is "binary thinking"; another: "all-or-nothing". . . nt

7. Oh baby, you're talking my language! Want to destroy a RW-tard? Use logical fallacies
against them.
Easy to do. 99% of the time their argument is based upon either a Straw Man or a Red Herring. When you point out their false logic, they always always always revert to the last one, an Ad Hominem attack upon you personally. When you point out that they just lost their argument because they cannot defend their original proposition (the Straw Man/Red Herring), but instead have to resort to Ad Hominem, they always get really pissed and walk away or refuse to argue further. SLAMMED! p.s. Most RW-tards are a classic example of an Ad Populum fallacy. They believe something, not based on evidence, but to belong to something. They need to belong, even if that system is based on a falsehood. They hate standing alone on any subject, but especially will not stand up against authority when they've been programmed not to stand up to that authority. |

8. Someone needs to come up with a Hannity drinking game based on this
Every time he employs a logical fallacy, you have to take a swig.
Then again, acute alcohol poisoning might be a distinct possibility. |
