(13,771 posts)She really just wants to get along with the guys.
And she loves having them court her for her vote.
Playing games, flirting, soaking up attention.
Dishonest.

(53,735 posts)He regularly displays brilliantly articulated take downs of trump and the rest of the cowardly, incompetent repugs.
I agree though that this one was pungently earthy.

(22,755 posts)But this is not an example of wordsmithing, it is an example of blunt honesty.

(78 posts)Too bad none of them are in elective office. And yes, I know Schmidt left the party. I personally know several people who've done the same, including my older brother.

(14,164 posts)I have also wondered why someone like Ana Navarro retains her R membership. But on the other hand, while I am baffled at that, and would have had Steve also still been a member, I think they do us more service in some ways, retaining their claim to the grand old party. As examples to other Republicans who will never switch, of a way forward for a new improved more moderate conservative party.

(13,447 posts)long ago not to trust anything Colin says, because she always changes her mind in the end. Shes spineless.

(63,791 posts)her constituents should vote her out.

(5,376 posts)Caving suggests that she was actually considering voting the other way. It is all political cover to get herself positive press. I honestly believe that the only reason that Collins and Murkowski voted against the ACA repeal was because they were expecting John McCain to vote for it. I don't give them any credit for that vote. They only vote against something when the result isn't in doubt. They are both liars and cowards, and probably couldn't care less about Roe v. Wade.

(14,113 posts)... wider voting audience.
Then once she captures all this media attention about how she is such a thoughtful moderate, she then sneaks out the backdoor and runs to vote with the Fascist Rethugs. Review her voting record... 85% trDump policy supporter.
She is a moderate for the beneficial media optics only... then she falls in line to quietly vote with the Fascists.

(58,785 posts)have been hoping to maintain plausible deniability about knowing Kavanaugh's real stance, but our party leaders have made blowing these betraying hypocrites' cover a significant part of their strategy for defeating this nomination. Success, of course, depends on their pro-abortion conservative voters' degree of anger or apathy. If one turned tail to protect herself, that will make it very difficult for the other, who'd become the woman who killed legal abortion.
Blabby Trump's helping. He's said many times that he's appointing justices to overturn Roe v. Wade, including just this week in speaking about Kavanaugh.
