I have this theory about why the right has gotten crazier and crazier, it seems, by the minute...

This came to me when I read another post about Dick Morris claiming that president Obama is calling out the Black Helicopters of the UN to take over the US.

First of all, the US spends far too much money as it is but, come on Dick, do you honestly believe that the rest of world really wants to invade the US?

But seriously, each of the these conservative "pundits" has to push the crazy if they want to crack through the din and get noticed. If they are not noticed they will be left off the gravy train and be forced to go, well, wherever conservative pundits go when their well runs dry.

The poor schlubs that buy that crap are basically reading the same old same old packaged in a slightly different spin. It's like the romance novels that so many people like to read.

Both romance devotees and the conservative press followers don't want anything new, they want the same old story just told in a little different package, a slant, if you will.

There are books out there that explain, to the budding Romance novelist, what has to be in the book and how to include the plot twists that must be there or else the next book from that author will be left on the rack at Walmart.

Anyway, the same applies to the crap that Regnery puts out Day after day, week after week, month after month...

Heres a little blurb from a book published in 2004...

If John Kerry and Hillary Clinton have their way, Kofi Annan and Jacques Chirac will gain veto power over American foreign policy.

Scared? You should be. It could happen. And in Inside the Asylum, former deputy undersecretary of defense Jed Babbin shows just how it could happen and why the UN deserves the nickname “The Asylum.”

Anyway, nothing changes on the right except the degree of crazy which, in my opinion, insights others to do their dirty work like carrying guns to political rallies

And these folks count on the fact that our short attention spans mean that we don't put two and two together...

We never see it coming.

Excellent post!
