Dana Milbank: Republicans wont have anything left to salvage
What President Trump and his cadre have done is very bad.
What Republican leaders are doing is unforgivable.
<snip>
It was time for leadership. McConnell ducked.
Instead, he hailed Trumps campaign rally in West Virginia the night before.
<snip>
McConnell's counterpart in the House, Speaker Paul D. Ryan, was equally cowardly. "We are aware of Mr. [Michael] Cohen's guilty plea to these serious charges" was his office's official statement. "We will need more information than is currently available at this point."
What more do you need, Mr. Speaker? What more will it take, Republicans? It seems nothing can bring them to state what is manifestly true: The president is unfit to serve, surrounded by hooligans and doing incalculable harm.
A scroll through Republican lawmakers' tweets since the Cohen-Manafort combination punch late Tuesday found shameful silence. - The Salt Lake Tribune

Keep the Trump & Republican brands welded together. They created him, enable him, & protect him.

Not only that, but they've backed him for their own purposes and they still are.

I call them RepubliConMen because they are so hypocritical and so male-dominated.
I sometimes call them RubleCons because of the debt they owe to Russia (Putin).

They put their donors wishes, tax cuts for the rich, the stacking of the courts, etc., above the good of our nation.
They own him 100% in all forms. They made a conscious choice to dance with the devil and now they'll have to suffer the consequences.

Which is as it should be. Let the destruction be total and irreversible. They have caused so much damage for so long, there should be no more chances for this crowd. Time to start fresh.
