He just pleaded guilty to eight felonies. There could be more charges coming. There is no way in hell he is not going to not cooperate. Maybe they want to keep the cooperation secret because after all Cohen may bring down a president. That's serious business. He may fear for his life.

3. He's absolutely cooperating

Several lawyers today pointed out that just because a cooperation isn't in the indictments doesn't mean it doesn't exist. That's commonly the case; prosecutors often don't want cooperation known, to protect the person cooperating.

Actually, Cohen has probably been cooperating for weeks; today was just the culmination of an agreement.
