Really? To me, that means she hopes he is acquitted. I wonder what illegal activities she is involved?

(115,674 posts)just because she speculated on the possibility of an acquittal! - because that is a possibility, although a remote one. Sometimes these talking heads just say stuff to fill in air time.

(7,725 posts)to me needs to move on. It tkes her twice as long to mope out a sentence and I quit being impressed w her musings about 15 years ago. That's just me though. I know there are some here who love her. Me? Not so much.

(47,399 posts)I've seen her do some good interviews with very powerful people, but she is totally unsuited to host her own show. She's just not good at it and has a hard time getting out a complete sentence. It can be exhausting listening to her. There are plenty of people who can do that job and make it look effortless, its just not where her talents lie.

(5,810 posts)These people are on air for an hour or two straight. They gotta fill the time with something. So they throw something out there for their panel to chew on and regurgitate for an hour of round table. So just because she said it doesnt mean anything except they need a topic to dissect.

(11,141 posts)They're going to go down and check not guilty on 17 counts (seeing them as false charges) and then piss and moan about one single count? No way.

(40,208 posts)However, I find it highly unlikely that the jury has found him not guilty on 17 charges and is stuck on a single charge.
I think it is going to be guilty on a majority of charges. That is what my tea leaves tell me,

(82,849 posts)I'm sure the incredibly persuasive defense Manafort put on surely has every juror in that room absolutely convinced of his complete innocence on all charges.

(10,952 posts)all counts to prevent an acquittal. If I were on that jury I would be so pissed off about the way that the judge ran this case. He made every effort to drive the case into the ground. And to just throw all the evidence at the jurors and to force them to figure it all out as to what evidence went with what charge is ridiculous.

(43,174 posts)I don't think it will, but it could be. It's within the range of possibilities.
But I don't think it will. And I don't think pointing out a possible outcome means someone is involved in "illegal activities." You're just being silly.
