(36,181 posts)She does try to make herself out to be noble. With hindsight and her knowledge justify herself in the campaign.
She really hates Kelly. Feels bad for don jr.
I just finished the primary portion and getting into the GE.

And that is why I will wait to find the book at a library for $1.00, or somewhere on the streets of New York where people place books outside their homes for others to take and enjoy.
But if anyone wants to post some good quotes from the book that would be great.

(63,221 posts)He has sexualized her since she was a child. I think it is because he thinks she is the closest thing to a female him. It might look like he loves her, but he only loves her because she is a female extension of his ego and nothing more.

I've worked for some douchebags in my time, not like Trump, but there's a type you sometimes have had to deal with..
I'm not going to judge her choices, but if she were male, she'd be dubbed a go-getter..

(58,785 posts)Before the candidates declared, around the nation many people opportunistically started and joined organizations to position themselves for opportunity. (Remember that $1 billion + it takes to elect a president and the potential jobs in the new power center.
She was one of the joiners of a small newly formed super PAC, but not at a high level, that hoped to be involved with Hillary's campaign if she ran. When Hillary declared, this organization was rolled into another, which was professionalized under new top leadership and which took on a bunch of experienced people. But not her.
She was a small fry with the wrong background, and one could speculate perhaps her usual problem record with the PAC.
She can claim that the executive in charge of the new one contacted her personally (!) and made her an offer, all right, but that doesn't mean he'd even heard her name. Her story, of course, is that she declined what would be a highly coveted position because "they'd" treated her badly. And went to work with the fine people gathering in the Trump Campaign instead.
Btw, I have one degree of first-name separation, from "Bill and Hillary," through someone they knew pretty well, liked and would recognize, but have never met either and don't expect to. How dare they treat me so badly!

(40,137 posts)It is an excellent read. She has had a rough life at times and I also feel empathy for her having gone through some terrible tragedies.
She seems to have feelings of shame for having stuck with Trump for so long. She describes it like being in a cult. Sure she is ambitious to the point of it being a character flaw, but she writes of this weirdness of Trumpworld that sucks you in. It's like what you read from people who were in the mob.
And there are passages about what a completely fucked up family the Trumps are. Don Jr. is an outright degenerate who cheated on his wife from day one and who likes to sent girlfriends pornographic pictures of himself. One of the women he had an affair with showed them to Omarosa.
This book was worth every penny and I am enjoying it immensely.

Not on the wait list, but I might put myself on it.
