Why does NPR keep repeating that the dossier was paid for by Democrats??

WTF, they are saying it every 30 minutes in the national news segment.

Anyone who has been following this story at all knows that the dossier was originally funded by Republicans and when Grump got the nomination the Democrats took it over.

this is BS reporting

1. Christopher Steele who compiled the Dossier was only hired after Dems were funding

although the investigation was begun by Fusion through Republican funding, Steele did not investigate and compile his dossier until after primary.

3. Thank you

I don't know how many times I've pointed this out. It's a true statement.

7. so?

the whole thing was started by republicans. would it even exist if they hadn't started it, and paid for it?

going out of their way to say it was funded by democrats without mentioning that it was started by the republicans and also funded by them is misleading.

9. Not the Dossier.

Facts matter, and yes, her campaign funded it. I dont see what the big deal is?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/25/us/politics/steele-dossier-trump-expained.html

After Mr. Trump secured the nomination, Fusion GPS was hired on behalf of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign and the D.N.C. by their law firm, Perkins Coie, to compile research about Mr. Trump, his businesses and associates — including possible connections with Russia. It was at that point that Fusion GPS hired Mr. Steele, who has deep sourcing in Russia, to gather information.

5. no it's not

it originated with funding from the republicans in the primaries.

so to be accurate you could say it was partially funded by both parties.

10. Wrong again.

The Washington Free Beacon dropped fusion when tRump got the nomination. Then HRC campaign hired them and steele entered the picture.

4. I agree, what difference does it make who funded it as long as claims are founded

11. It matters who commissioned the investigation, who started it.

It was Republican primary maneuvering. I'm not sure which Republican -- I vaguely remember that it was Bush, but I could be wrong. Anybody know?
