Romney ads running on TV here in Colorado refer to his supposed saving of the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. In the photos they show from that time, his gray sideburns look identical to the way they look now.
I suppose that could happen naturally, but it seems highly unlikely to me that a man of his age would have exactly the same amount of gray in his hair now as he did ten years ago. Either he's gone gray and is coloring all of his hair but that small amount, for that dash of gray that some people think looks good in an older man, or -- and this would be very funny -- he's not gray at all but he's been adding that bit of gray for years or decades.
Sure it's a minor matter, but as an indicator of just how fake he is, it seems worth remarking on. Pictures of him through the decades should be available online.

(16,113 posts)I don't think it says anything at all about Romney. His positions and his history, on the other hand, say a great deal.

(16,113 posts)Maybe it was a big deal 50 years ago, but people (especially those who are on TV a lot) do this sort of stuff all the time now. I don't think anything of it any more. I'm sure * colored his hair as well.
