Disney has always been about the money
Which is ok cause that is what companies do.
But needs to be remembered

I mean, it appears to be group of little girls (obviously a bunch of past Disney characters), some are of different races, and they're all having a fun time together ... it's not inconceivable that the thinking was focused on the positive value of 'similarities' as opposed to 'differences'.
Just a thought, obviously I don't know their 'thinking' ...
I'd also point out that some of white girls are also unnaturally white, so RELATIVELY speaking ... it's maybe not so 'far off', as far as the overall color palette across the characters goes.
