"...it needs to burn to the ground."

Quote of the Day

“It’s like a fire. Fires are a part of the ecosystem, part of the natural progress. And when the forest burns, it’s purified. There can be new growth. For there to be new growth of a conservative movement, of a right center party, the one that I joined in 1988, it needs to burn to the ground.”

— Former GOP strategist Steve Schmidt, talking about the Republican party on MSNBC

Gasoline
Benzine
Toluene
Xylene
Acetone

All burn really well. Very hot, with a pretty blue flame.

I feared the 8 years of Reagan would be irrevocable. And I would've fought Steve in the streets over it. Now, I see him on the same side of the coin I'm on. Different facets, but on the same side.

Warren was knocking on doors for Bob Dole, and Perry was stumping for Al Gore.

When you understand those two's realignment since then, you'll understand the past 30 years of American politics. Schmidt should have seen this long ago.

We need to destroy the party to hasten the revolution. Just sayin'.
