R A I N !!!!!!

dateline: Centralia Washington..

A blessed & furious downpour.....

It only lasted 10 minutes, but it was still a relief

We have had no rain since June, and boy did we ever need this..

happy-dances all over western Washington today

(and many of those ‘lower’ temps were still above average. Barely time to clear out the overheated air from the apartment before the next wave hit. And they have been consistently longer and hotter than even how they were forecast. So much so that even one of the local weather forecasters commented on that.

...clouds dissipating, returning to blue skies and fluffy white clouds. Only 62 though which is much better than the 90+
degrees we have had all week.

Been a blisteringly hot and dry summer in Ft Worth. Just got probably 2" and really the first substantial rain since late May.

Sitting in my car in the rain in LaCenter Washington (not far south of you) waiting for the long-awaited outdoor nuptials for our friends Jay and Kelsey. Hoping the showers clear for the festivities!

It always amazes me how a country like the United States---which has petroleum pipelines stretched in every corner of the country--could not find a way to pipe in water to dry areas. When it is dry in Washington, it's often because of a downpour somewhere else.
