(3,055 posts)How the polls in Colorado have Rmoney UP by 5 points? Are they doing the polling at LDS churches, or what?

(9,612 posts)Too much can happen between now and the election.
Remember, Dukakis was up 17 points this point in '88. Take nothing for granted, but also don't get disheartened. Fight like you're 10 points down, even when you're five points up.

(3,055 posts)My biggest fear is complacency among the democratic base this year. We CAN NOT stay home for any reason, we have got to get to the polls.
One thing that struck me about these pictures. I'm sure I had the same reaction as most of you about the size of the crowds, and level of enthusiasm. Then I started thinking, well, Mitt's not actually at the podium, so maybe it was early and they were still setting up. But then it hit me. Obama is speaking in really large venues with room for lots of people, and he's filling them up. From all appearances, Romney's campaign folks don't expect him to need anything larger than what appears to be a conference room, or maybe an auditorium...and he still can't fill them.
I'm feeling a lot better about this election. I'll admit I was really uneasy about it, but between Romney's complete inability to even hold a conversation with a real person, and his elitism, plus his lousy policies, we should be alright. But again, we must be vigilant, get out to the polls AND bring a friend.

(95,337 posts)I mean geez, you'd think Obama is a rock star with the way everyone tries to get up front so they can shake hands with him or give him a hug. But there isn't one person sitting in the front row and only a few in the 2nd row.
These people will vote for Romney but only because that's their only choice.

(95,337 posts)No one wants the front row in church. They all start at the back row and fill from back to front
