What I did today for the Democratic party

I saw a Bernie thread pop up today that speaks to EXACTLY what is in my heart. Strong feelings needless to say. And this time I didn't rec it, I didn't respond to it, I trashed it.

Everyone here will vote for:
--worker rights
--environmental rights
--POC rights
--LGBT rights
--women's rights
--children's rights
--refugee rights

I will vote for the Democratic ticket. If that is Bernie Sanders in 2020, if that is Hillary Clinton in 2020, if that is our internal controversy lord Ocasio Cortez in 2020 I will vote for her.

We all will, unless we demoralize each other. Then we will certainly lose. The greater good will lose.

We are principled as fuck. That's what makes a humanitarian. Our better angels are being used against us, and I no longer believe this distressing division is organic. I trust all of us to stick together. Trash the thread next time.

1. I agree 100%.

At this point we have to elect Dems, both in 2018 and again in 2020. I don't care about ideological purity; get Ds elected and GOPers gone, and we'll worry about the details later.

2. Don't vote for AOC in 2020...

She'd still be too young to be president

2028, I hope!!!

3. it can't be Ocasio-Cortez in 2020

she may run in 2024... but even that might not be good with any major party ( she doesn't turn 35 until October of the year of the election, although she would be 35 by the time she takes the oath of office).

If she wants to try for the Presidency... 2028 or 2032 would be much more likely.

6. Vote in every single election,

vote Dem straight ticket, down ballot. That is how I was raised and how I choose to respect my country and support life on Earth. Simple as that.
