Newt: Shocking, Mitt's a liar
By: MJ Lee

Newt Gingrich called Mitt Romney a liar Tuesday morning in a tense interview on the day of the Iowa caucuses.

Regarding a recent comment that somebody who will lie to win the presidency will continue to when they are in the Oval Office, Gingrich was asked on the “Early Show” if he was calling Mitt Romney a liar.

“Yes,” he said.

“You’re calling Mitt Romney a liar?” asked Norah O’Donnell.

“Well, you seemed shocked by it. Yes.”

Asked to elaborate, Gingrich said Romney’s pretense that he knew nothing about the Super PAC that has created negative ads about him was “bologna,” and that Romney wanted voters to believe that “somehow he’s magically a conservative.

“He’s not telling the American people the truth. It’s just like his pretense that he’s a conservative,” he said. “I just think he ought to be honest to the American people and try to win as the real mitt Romney, not try to invent a poll-driven, consultant-guided version that goes around with talking points. I think he ought to be candid. I don’t think he’s being candid.”

It was also the funniest moment I've seen on television in a long time.....highly reccommend the video clip just to see the look on Nora O'Donnell's face (Bob Schieffer too)....they couldn't believe their ears....my guess is they expected the usual humming and hawing about truth stretching, misleading words, mispoken etc etc....

Newt does the same things as Romney, but somehow he fails where Mitt succeeds. It must be extremely frustrating for him.

Herman said 3 million which is the entire DOD, and she said, Well there is only two million. I guess the almost one million DOD employees don't count.

Would answer the usual and when instead he gave a straight-forward answer she repeated the question in disbelief. When he said Yes agsin she re-phrased the question again and he said it again....the look on her face was priceless....her face was practically the color of her dress.....

It's just funny that Newt seems shocked that a Republican politician is relying on polls, consultants and talking points.

admit that Gingrich handed Moron O'Donnell and that washed-up has been Schieffer their asses on a plate in this exchange. They deserved to be exposed for the journalistic frauds they are. And Gingrich exposed them.

Wow!

And he knows he is a liar, but he doesn't care.

Romney is a liar, too, but he doesn't care if a liar like Noot calls him a liar.
