Regarding the indictment mentioning a congressional candidate soliciting info on an opponent....

....could it be Tim Canova, who primaried Debbie Wasserman Schultz in 2016 (and I believe is doing so again, this time as an independent)?

He struck me as a rat from the very beginning, going on ultra-right wing radio host Joyce Kaufman's show to push his campaign, and then after losing has spread Seth Rich/DNC conspiracy theories and has decried the Mueller/Trussia investigation?

He would have had the most to benefit from the leak of emails around the convention that lead to DWS resigning her DNC chair position. And that all took place before the August 30, 2016 primary between him and DWS.

It seems like it could be a possibility at least.
