10. It does not take much to rival the inauguration crowd

When the English say they are getting a crowd together and having a party, you can bet it is going to be a wild one. The people that arranged 45 inauguration can learn a lot from the English.

13. This is very reassuring. Thanks!

I’m considering traveling across the pond next year and was dreading telling people there that I’m from the USA, anticipating angry comments or worse. My extended family there understands — despite the fact that they dare not travel here now (their being of Latino heritage). And that hurts.

I’m putting Great Britain back on my itinerary for now. Who knows? Some of these protestors might even buy me a pint once they learn that we share our disdain for the giant, gas-filled, orange-and-piss-colored-cotton-candy-coiffed big baby.

16. Shouldn't be a problem...

We were there last Sept, for our first ever trip and we never got a negative comment directed at us. We did get a lot of commiseration from those we voiced our opinions too. One high light was when a guy in a pub thought we were Canadians, mostly because we were calm and relaxed he said.

They're discerning enough to separate the people from the criminal cabal in charge.

18. Just came from Ireland and everyone was nice.

My boyfriend bought a CD from a band in a pub, and the couple whose table we were sharing teased him - "you tourist!" and I said that we wanted to spend as much money outside of the US as possible while Trump was in office. Their mood lightened visibly when we said that, and they laughed.

25. Was in London last week

No worries! They’re cool! Best term I heard to describe trump was a “cod”....no idea what it means but it wasn’t said in a positive manner. In fact, I think “wanker” was in the same sentence!

after losing the World Cup. I'm glad we're loaning them the Dotard to let off tons of steam and there could not be a better cause!

..........

Well, on second thought, there is Brexit. One in the same though, 'cause tRump supports Brexit.

19. Best headline of the day....

Queen Elizabeth Says Bone Spurs Will Prevent Her from Meeting Trump
(satire) By Andy Borowitz

(snip)
LONDON (The Borowitz Report)—Queen Elizabeth II has cancelled a scheduled Friday meeting with Donald J. Trump after complaining of a “flare-up of bone spurs,” Buckingham Palace has confirmed.
-----
The Queen referred to her bone spurs obliquely in an official statement issued on Thursday. “We are sorry to have to cancel the engagement, but we feared that meeting Donald Trump would be most painful,” the Queen’s statement read.
......
Octoberlib, thanks for posting the great photos!..........

Starbucks? Burger King? I don't recall seeing them.

I hope some of the small pubs I enjoyed are still there.

...after being forced to sit in the presence of that repulsive traitor.
