Women Are Buying Up Plan B Because They're Terrified of the Future Supreme Court

Women Are Buying Up Plan B Because They're Terrified of the Future Supreme Court
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/women-buying-plan-b-because-203000437.html

Within hours of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement announcement last month, Emily Hauser was standing at a drugstore counter asking a pharmacist for two packages of Plan B.

At age 53, she didn’t need the emergency contraception pills — in fact, she wasn’t sure who would, or when. But Hauser bought them anyway. A mother of two, she’s worried her teenagers won’t be able to access Plan B if Roe v. Wade, the decision that protects a woman’s right to abortion, gets overturned after Kennedy leaves the Supreme Court.

Preparing for the new worst case scenario.

2. That seems like a bit of an over-reaction

While I don't believe that RvW will ever be overturned (Both sides like it as for gotv), it'll be a least a year minimum before there's a challenge. Heck Kennedy hasn't even stepped down yet.

And then they need a case to challenge it. Those pills will be long expired before the new court even considers any action.

Heck, it took DECADES before the NRA had the right case to challenge the DC gun ban.

3. It doesn't mean they won't make it harder

On a state by state basis to obtain Plan B.
I've thought about ordering a few to keep on hand for my 18 year old.

5. Harder on a state by state basis to obtain Plan B.

Much more likely that any outright abortion ban.

6. Absolutely.

Though it is very hard for most of the Missouri population to obtain an abortion
