Ralph Peters on CNN says Merkel, May and Stoltenberg were talking to Trump like

a psychiatrist would talk to a disturbed child.

Called Trump "a malevolent fool."

1. LOL

I think Merkel, Stoltenberg and maybe May care more for the USA's people.

2. And it's not surprising in the least.

How embarrassing, they are using child psycology on the president of the United States of America.

And he probably doesn't even get it.

3. My husband and I both see trump as little more than an adult-size five-year-old.

With apologies to all genuine (and undoubtedly FAR better-behaved) five-year-olds everywhere.

5. I recall when my oldest was barely two...

After some debate, we had come to an understanding that I would be happy to let her have that cookie at the appropriate time. Still she was trying to cope with her frustration as I could see that she didn't want to let it get the better of her.

She had this epiphany and began to try to come to terms with it. She suddenly had a serious look and began to slowly pace and say in cadence to her steps "I just want what I want, when I want it. I want what I want, when I want it..."

She said it slowly, seriously, and quietly, about four or five times as she contemplated the way forward.

That little girl is now 13 and is really learning the art of persuasion, gentle manipulation, and hard work.

Congress indulges someone who is a brat emotionally, but has a deep capacity for vindictive chaos. It would be so easy to thwart this man, but, for the GOP, the end justifies the means. They don't care about the collateral damage. They're just fine.

Fuck them. Fuck them all.

10. Emotionally, I'd say he is about two years old.

A big baby. Prone to tantrums, angry upsets, angry tantrums.

16. From the late Charles Krauthammer, PhD in Psychology from Harvard

about 2 years ago:

This is beyond narcissism. I used to think Trump was an 11-year-old, an undeveloped schoolyard bully. I was off by about 10 years. His needs are more primitive, an infantile hunger for approval and praise, a craving that can never be satisfied. He lives in a cocoon of solipsism where the world outside himself has value indeed exists only insofar as it sustains and inflates him.

and, since I had to look it up at the time:

Definition of solipsism
: a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing; also : extreme egocentrism

6. Daddy issues too

his father gave the example of the authoritarian strong man who destroys those he considers weak. His love of Erdogan, Putin, Kim, keeps in the In Crowd. The only problem is that rump is a weakling who has to keep proving himself to other strongmen. His limited knowledge makes him a dupe instead.

12. The authoritarian mindset tends to mistake intimidation for leadership.

He'll give Putin anything he asks for... Alaska?

7. They all recognize that a once-trusted ally (US) is now run by a very dangerous sociopath...

They wish the best for us, I am sure -- but they have to take care of their own people's safety first and foremost, so they are handling him with kid gloves. They recognize that ultimately the USA will deal with him, or not.

And -- Trump has nukes.

18. Cha, I think the larger impact will be silent.

The massive psychological relief that will relieve internal stress for millions will be heard only as a huge collective sigh, while Lady Liberty will quietly smile again. Those of us who are introverts will benefit the most.

Many psychiatrists may need to close up shop and antidepressant and alcohol sales may fall precipitously, LOL...... ......

22. At least in the often repeated Trump harange on Germany, Stoltenberg sounded

very reasonable, soft spoken and conciliatory in response to a bully.
