White House staffers annoyed Trump timed his SCOTUS nominee announcement to boost Hannitys ratings

If the timing of President Donald Trumps tweet teasing the announcement of his Supreme Court nominee seemed fishy to you, youre not the only one.
Gabriel Sherman, a Vanity Fair correspondent with many ears inside the administration, tweeted Monday afternoon that according to one of his GOP sources, some aides are annoyed Trump is announcing SCOTUS pick at 9pm because staffers think [new deputy chief of staff for communications] Bill Shine chose 9pm hour to help Sean Hannitys ratings.
Moments later, Sherman tweeted a reminder that Trump announced [Supreme Court Justice Neil] Gorsuch at 8pm in East Room ceremony before adding that Hannity has been advising the president to pick dark horse candidate Amy Coney Barrett.
Media Matters Angelo Carusone, in response to Shermans tweets, noted that on his radio show, the Fox News host said he likes that its right at the start of Hannity and we get to talk about it first.

(51,567 posts)1. The tRump TV Show is really boring.
They keep saying the same thing over and over. Who watches that crap besides masochists?

(175,729 posts)2. The plot is way too far-fetched.
The dialog is cartoonish and the acting is laughable. Zero stars.
