Shame on CBS News. And most MSM.

Last edited Thu Jul 5, 2018, 08:52 AM - Edit history (2)

CBS evening news had plenty of time to tell viewers about how lovely it will be when republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief, Comrade Dirty Donny, meets Putin in Helsinki next week for private conspiring. But they deliberately FAILED to mention - they completely ignored - today's damning news from the Senate Intelligence Agency making it plain that Putin approved the russian ACTS of WAR against the USA, ACTS of wAR that are ongoing - according to every single US Intelligence Agency and the Senate Intelligence Committee.

So republican Dirty Donny* is going to the #StinkyInHelsinki to get on his knees before a man who is actively waging WAR on American democaracy. Disgusting. Disgusting that the republican party is letting this treasonous shit go down.

Disgusting that CBS had time for a fluffy feature on Legos, but not one freaking second to inform American citizens about the blockbuster Senate report on russian-republican treason against America that will come to a head during the #StinkyInHelsinki.

Screw CBS News. That is an intentional propaganda FAIL of the lowest journalistic order. It is dereliction of duty on the scale of FOX propaganda (R)

1. Senate Intelligence Committee backs assessment of Russia election meddling

Source: Politico July 3, 2018

The Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday backed the intelligence community's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to aid President Donald Trump and is continuing its efforts to undermine U.S. democracy.

The finding that reveal Russia meddled in far more extensive ways than previously known is yet another strong rebuke to Trump and many of his allies who continue to cast doubt on the finding from the intelligence community that Moscow carried out an operation to help his candidacy and hurt Hillary Clinton.

Because...someone might just think they are related, and they don't want to "make the news"

So they may have a piece on the big Trump / Putin meeting

Then a fluff piece on anything

Then maybe a human tragedy story

Then another fluff piece

THEN the news report from the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Then another fluff piece......

I looked at different websites like CNN, NBC news, ABC news, Reuters, NYT, WaPo and only CBS news had it in the sub headlines.

CNN and MSNBC are discussing it on their shows.

It should be mentioned at least on all news channels. Quite odd that something as important as this was released just before a holiday. Oh wait, republicans are in control so they would want to minimize impact.

when Scott Pelley was anchor. But the corporate network shut him up fast. They kicked him sideways to 60 Minutes, and put in goober glor to spew platitudes and grin boyishly while showing freaking FEEL-GOOD FEATURES while American democracy gets shoved deeper and deeper in the crapper by the stinking, glaring (and ultra newsworthy) republican-russian treason story.

The Senate Intelligence Committee's report yesterday (July 3, 2018) is a huge story. The so-called news outlets that are ignoring it - like CBS Evening News - are all but complicit with the KGOP republican cabal of cronies. They are pissing on the First Amendment.

Even though CBS feels it can ignore reality and continue to puff up Comrade Casino while he goes to kiss Putin's ass, the russian ACTS of WAR on America continue. Any journalist worth her or his salt would keep that hard reality in focus, and grasp that the just-released Senate Intelligence Committee report is urgently significant- especially as the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief fluffs his kneepads for the #StinkyInHelsinki

And every American citizen ought to keep these ongoing Acts of War clearly in mind as the ignoblerepublican misleader goes to Helsinki to meet (in Ultra-Occulted Private) with The Manly Man behind the russian ACTS OF WAR upon America.

Claxon horns should be honking all over media land: pay attention! Your so-called pResident* is going to Helsinki to meet with a man who is actively perpetrating ACTS OF WAR on America.

Hello? Media? America? World? Am I overreacting? I could go to the DU Lounge and join the potato salad thread. It looked kinda interesting. I mean, whatever. NOT.

I am over-exaggerating the importance of the Senate Intelligence Committee report in the context of the republican president* going to meet Putin - who is behind the well-documented ongoing attacks on American democracy?

I think not. So I'm going to go on ranting...

Somehow the ongoing ACTS OF WAR against America are, how shall I put this, disturbing to me, even if the corporate media finds it irrelevant or unamusing.

I'm especially HONKED OFF that Dirty Donny, the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief, who obviously is illegitimate, is heading off to Helsinki for a freaking PRIVATE PRIVATE PRIVATE meeting with the man who the Senate Intelligence Committee - and all US Intelligence Agencies - agree is behind the digitial and propaganda WAR on American democracy.

republicans are ok with this war on America. And they are also ok with Dirty Donny's glaring grifting and treason. mass corporate media is apparently ok with this treason, too.

But I am not.

...one ultimate rant:

CBS evening news, and many other major broadcast outlets, have continued to IGNORE the Senate Intelligence Committee report on Putin and the Acts of War being waged against America. That ignoring amounts to COVERING UP IMPORTANT TRUTH. And that sucks.

Colossal all-time FAIL for the freaking corporate MSM.

And now, finally, off to join the faltering potato salad thread in the DU Lounge. Sad.
