August 26 is the Day Of Action. Mark your calendar.

Last night was the announcement of this date for people to stand up and fight the GOP and their SCOTUS pick who want to make women second class citizens again. NO WAY! Indivisible, MoveOn and other groups announced that we will be fighting back and the GOP will not usurp our rights as women.

Republicans control both chambers in 32 states (33 if you count Nebraska) and 33 governorships. And in many of these states they are entrenching their power by gerrymandering and arranging to suppress votes.

Yet only 27 percent of Americans are Republican, and the vast majority of Americans disapprove of Trump. The GOP itself is now little more than Trump, Fox News, a handful of billionaire funders, and evangelicals who oppose a woman’s right to choose, gay marriage, and the Constitution’s separation of church and state.

So what are we — the majority — to do?"
First and most importantly, do not give up.

Call, write, attend town halls, share info, RESISTANCE WORKS! Just like with the ACA, the grass roots efforts are going to stop the GOP and their misogynists from telling women what they do not have control over their own bodies. This Summer we must FIGHT and FIGHT HARD! Call them all out and pressure all of the GOP men and women!

1. If McConnell has his way, a new judge will be confirmed by mid August

Remember when he cancelled the senate recess in August? He knew all along they were going to get Kennedy out. And would shove though a new judge in a short period of time. These mf’ers think they are unstoppable now.

6. It's too late for words

Action must be taken. There must be no vote on a Supreme Court nominee until after the mid terms. Any Democrat who understands the importance of not having Roe v Wade overturned should be calling and emailing their state rep saying they will lose your vote if they allow this. McConnell stonewalled Obama with Garland Merrick. Democrats cannot be the ‘nice’ ones anymore. This is war.

15. McConnell had the Senate thus he could stonewall ; we don't have the Senate thus we can't stop the

nomination. All the fighting in the world won't help...how about fighting for a win in the Senate in 18 and of course the house...now that would be meaningful...this would be a waste of time and energy. Sure...talk about it and make it a rallying point for our voters...stop Trump's judges...but the midterm is are only shot to stop Trump.

10. The 27% figure is misleading. Most "independents" are very partisan, and many are Republicans.

12. I was part of a nationwide phone call last night with Indivisible, MoveOn and NARAL.

They announced Aug 26th as the "Day of Action" to commemorate the 1920 passing of the 19th Amend (women finally got the right to vote). Before that date is the Summer of Resistance where we all do what we did to save the ACA...it worked then and will work now. The same strategies are in place and now we just need to spread the word. That is why you haven't heard about it yet...hot off the presses! Spread the word.

I will continue to post info as soon as I get it from the groups that I have contact with. We will never lie down without a fight! We fought to get the vote, to get our rights as women to chose and to have control of our bodies and we are fighting now to keep it. We will not go backwards. No way, no how!
