2. Yes! 4 million kids turn 18 before the 2018 election.
In many states, 17yo's can register to vote if they will be 18 on or before Election Day. Encourage them to register to vote!

I would not recommend the Army, of course. I would recommend the Navy. You're less likely to get shot at, or indicted for war crimes.
I cast my first vote by absentee ballot in the 1972 Presidential Primary. I was somewhere in the Pacific, serving aboard the USS Mahan. I voted for Shirley Chisolm. Never regretted that vote. |

12. I liked her best that year, too.
My dad asked me over the dinner table one night who I thought I’d vote for. I said “Shirley Chisholm.” He looked at me, aghast, and shouted - “Shirley CHISHOLM?????” Didn’t change my mind.
That’s how long I’VE been wanting a woman president. |
