How dare he encourage such incivility!?
I'm sure the civility police will be along any minute now to wag their fingers. |

7. I must have missed when he encouraged violence
This is a man who didn't respond in kind when his skull was fractured. He didn't lower himself to their level. Trying to claim this as evidence of supporting treating Republicans how they treat others shows an alarming lack of history.

12. Sorry, I forgot the sarcasm tag.....
...I thought it would be obvious that I was mocking the fools in the centrist media (and in our own party) who chastized Maxine Waters for a very innocuous statement merely telling people to stand up for themselves.

fought for civil rights, voting rights, humanitarian rights, equality, better jobs and protection against the greedy corporations and greedy government.
My generation will take up that fight again. Thank you Mr. Lewis. |

but at the end of the day, they're worth what you pay for them. What's happening to this country appears to be irreversible.

but, I have seen the death spiral going back to the early 90s ...
At some point, just have to not fight the acceptance that this is what we are. Stupid as shit ... |

24. So we should all give up?
Did our ancestors do that in 1775? In 1861? In 1941? In 1963? Those were all horrible, scary times. Yet our nation survived and each time, ended up as a better place.
We are better than this. |

27. People can do whatever they want. These are different times.
If I didn't have kids to support I'd probably be making plans to exit this mortal existence, but that's not an option for me.
Like I said, people can do whatever they want. If it makes you feel better to keep believing that this can change, then go for it. Maybe you're right and I'm wrong. |
