It really is too long, droning and repetitive. I know I know it's classic, it's great, but ...

Honestly in my long life, and having loved Bob since i was like 8 ... I've only finished listening to it like 3 times ... it really could've used some judicious editing ... it'd be better at 4 mins, or at least broken into two halves, each one ending a record side?

IMHO.

Stumbled on this version recently (might've been vis-a-vis a DU'er come to think of it) ... it's pretty kickass, much rawer version than the one on the album, classic Mark Knopfler riffs ...
