President Donald Trumps former lawyer and close ally Michael Cohen resigned from his Republican National Committee post Wednesday and denounced the administrations family separation policy in his resignation letter, reports ABC News. Cohen blamed the time-consuming Mueller investigation as a major reason for his resignation, ABC reports, but he took a surprising stance against the administration by criticizing the forced separation of migrant families. As the son of a Polish holocaust survivor, the images and sounds of this family separation policy is heart wrenching, Cohen wrote ........ ...............................................................
While I strongly support measures that will secure our porous borders, children should never be used as bargaining chips................................

(4,066 posts)I can only hope this means he is cooperating now with Mueller because he's certain he's SOL when it comes to 45 saving his sorry butt.

(70,197 posts)an example of how he will be nasty until trump coughs up some money. I really have not idea why--but if indeed his folks are Holocaust survivors--he probably has some empathy for the plight of the families.

(22,113 posts)had any significant dealings w/ rump, when this obviously was not the case. In case after case, those who have had dealings w/ rump have realized way too late that when rump is done w/ them, he'll drop them like a hot potato, and then deny any dealings of any kind occurred. He's done this multiple times in the past (e.g., not knowing mob contacts, etc.).
Rump has lied and lied so much that no one believes rump any longer. They keep coming up w/ these insanely high support levels for rump, but I say that the number of those who claim to be repub are dropping like a rock, especially those who, w/ a clear eye really see what rump is like, along w/ all of his lies.
Cohen's stained hands will take a lot of washing and scrubbing...maybe w/ enough evidence from Cohen can persuade enough repubs that perhaps rump does indeed warrant a serious look at their so called repug president (rump is only a repug because he calls himself this...rump is NOT a conservative nor a repug (according to other long term repugs such as Flask and McCain)). Perhaps impeachment might look feasible?
