Historic castle in Germany. In case you're thinking of moving out..

https://www.oldhousedreams.com/2018/05/25/1887-castle-schoneck-frankfurt-germany/

1887 Castle Schöneck – Frankfurt, Germany – $3,454,333

Castle Schöneck was built by the well-known Munich architect Gabriel von Seidl, who also designed a lot of famous buildings, e.g. the German Museum, the Bavarian National Museum, the Lerbach Castle in Bensberg and many others.

Not only the German Empress Viktoria but also numerous members of the noble House of Bismarck resided at this unique estate with its generous proportions and its collection of valuable masterpieces of interior design.

More & Pics at Link..

I'd ditch the yellow wall paint, but the staircase is cool & kitchen & bath are upgraded.

A villa they suggest. For 3+ million.

2. Can you imagine

the maintenance issues alone? Wonderful to look at, beautiful to behold, if you break it...consider it sold. Honestly, a modest no hassle home is where my sweet spot lies.

3. You only buy a place like that if you have people for that....

.... and the money to pay them.

8. Or you are going to do rentals

There are a lot of old estates that rent portions thereof on Airbnb, Homeaway, Gites de Franc, etc.. Some of them turn the stables and outbuildings into guest cottages, etc., and others put in guestrooms and apartments.

They can be kind of quirky places to stay.

6. Only one formal ballroom?

No wonder it’s priced so low!

10. Only 0.37 acres

That's nothing. Where am I going to put in my hedge maze?

Sorry Wwcd, but I'm going to pass on this one.
