There were kids out there running, and he could have probably picked us off, but he didnt, he said. So it was just a scary thing that happened.
Asked how he felt, he said: Awkward, weird and wondering why the person did it.
Asked about gun control by a group of reporters who stood around him, he said: I dont have a comment about that. We shouldnt control our guns.

Some of these people could get shot and lose limbs and they would still want everyone to be armed.

(3,064 posts)And Abbott is a hypocrite of the highest order. He became a paraplegic by having a tree fall on him when was jogging. He was a young man at the time.
He filed a civil suit against the people upon whose property the tree was.
It was judged that the tree was weakened and should have been cut down. The fault was upon the owners. OK,but really how much were they liable for?
Abbott won a decision of $17 million. No malicious intent on the owner's part at all.
And, as Governor he signed a bill that limits civil damages to $250,000.
A real dick.

(46,166 posts)I thought I heard him say that earlier today and shut off the tv.
I'd already viewed a You Tube video uploaded by another student who started researching the shooter's online presence before it was disappeared. It was not healthy and felt like warning signs to me.
