The conservative Madison-based Wisconsin Family Council marketed the event through social media over the last week and drove six of its staff Wednesday to the Racine franchise in the Regency Mall - the only Chick-fil-A in Wisconsin - to hand out 300 $5 gift cards it had purchased. Many had already gathered for the store's 10 a.m. opening, and the gift cards were gone within the first two hours, council spokeswoman Ginny Maziarka said. The group later purchased an additional 40 gift cards to give away.
