Congrats ladies - Obamacare's preventative health services kick in today

We celebrate Emancipation today in the English=speaking Caribbean. Today in America women have been emancipated from a lack of coverage for basic health care.

Obamacare gives 47 million women preventative health services; conservatives say mandates ‘shred Constitution’
However beginning on August 1, or at the next renewal date, the following services will be completely covered by the insurance companies:

Well-woman visits.
Gestational diabetes screening that helps protect pregnant women from one of the most serious pregnancy-related diseases.
Domestic and interpersonal violence screening and counseling.
FDA-approved contraceptive methods, and contraceptive education and counseling.
Breastfeeding support, supplies, and counseling.
HPV DNA testing, for women 30 or older.
Sexually transmitted infections counseling for sexually-active women.
HIV screening and counseling for sexually-active women.

The greater focus on preventative measures will allow women to make health decisions to stay healhty and have a higher likelihood of catching potentially serious conditions earlier, and reduce crushing medical bills.
ReTHUGs have described this as worse than 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.
That's what they think of women.

I won't post the views of the Heritage foundation - they are sick people.

1. that isn't quite true

the benefits won't happen until your policy year come up. So for people whose policies renew in January the benefits will accrue in January. It still is a great thing but just for most not quite yet.
