WTU poll shows definitively that John P. Wintergreen is on track to be our nominee on 2020
The latest impartial presidential poll by WT ("wishful thinking" ) University of Grand Fenwick says it all:
Wintergreen-Throttlebottom at 67%
Johnny-Comelately 23%
all others 5%
undecided 4%
There's gonna be an election in 2020? 1%
In other words, haven't we got other things to think about now? Like taking back Congress in November, maybe?
Obsess all you want about Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden and Alfred E. Neuman, but if we don't take back at least one of the houses of Congress RIGHT NOW in 2018, then we'll be showing the country that we definitely do NOT have our shit together, and aren't much of a threat to take back the White House in 2020 even when it's being handed to us on a silver platter gift-wrapped.
In 2006, Howard Dean cris-crossed the country enough times to make a 3000 mile long cat's cradle, putting in more overtime than anyone knew was on the clock for races for the House and the Senate. Not once did he toot anybody's horn about 2008, and, dammit, WON us back both houses of Congress when it looked impossible just a year before. That is what we need now, not slashing each other's throats about a presidential primary that is 2 years off, and which will be fought out by a roster of candidates no one can possibly accurately predict at this point. So, let's not.
