(50,528 posts)The three ghosts take Trump out to show him the error of his way. The scenes of utter devastation he has wrought encourage him; when he gets out of bed on Christmas morning, he's worse than he was before.

(66,275 posts)One guy said that he would only go to Scrooge's funeral if they offered lunch. There's nothing they could offer me that would compel me to go to Trump's funeral.
Although I'd be happy to sneak into the cemetery later and take a dump on the grave...

(132 posts)I'm not sure Trump's funeral attendance will be so bare. As pointed out by Red Skelton, when L. B. Mayer's funeral was well attended, "Give the people what they want and they'll come out for it."
Also, a lot of people will want to follow the hearse to the cemetery and see him put in the ground, just to be sure he's really dead.
And, too, some will be willing to expend a bit of time to try and have the first shot at pissing on his grave.

(9,958 posts)Like ghouls, theyll be around his bed so the minute he takes his last breath they can divide the spoils. By that time, Melania will be long gone! Of course, we all hope he spends the rest of his life in prison.

Lived in a 35 room mansion, worth billions and had a payphone in his house, if you wanted to make a call, you used the payphone.
Greed should exclude one from having any money at all. We should have a test, a greed test, if you fail we take ALL your money.

I'm really proud of Biden for doing the right thing for his friend, John McCain. They both understand suffering, they both understand courage.

Where have all the decent folks in government gone? What is the sway of Republicans/Trump/Putin? Even Republicans are exiting. Dark times.

(15,170 posts)Can we blame it all on "interference" - we all know the standard list of suspects.
Or was there some, let's say, ineptitude within the party? Or are we blameless?
Could it be that the Democratic Party apparatus was more manipulated than the populace?
Jest asking.

(8,277 posts)any reports here. Meghan had a scheduled trip to visit because Ana Navarro mentioned that she's be co-hosting the end of April. Ana was on today.
My opinion is that Joe is visiting because he wants to pay his respects before he gets much worse. I don't think McCain has much time left. My cousin had the same brain cancer and was gone within a year.

He's been through so much in his life that he has compassion and knows that kindness goes a long way. And he and John McCain have a history, I have no doubt they're genuine friends.
