Macron: Trump will likely scrap Iran deal

French President Emmanuel Macron said he believes President Trump will drop out of the Iran nuclear deal, BuzzFeed News reported.

Macron told reporters on Wednesday that Trump would pull out of the deal as part of a "strategy of increasing tension."

"My view - I don't know what your president will decide - is that he will get rid of this deal on his own, for domestic reasons," Macron said.

He noted that such a move can work in the short term but is "very insane in the medium to long term."

1) Obama did it; it is bad b/c he's Obama
2) Iran didn't give in to every single US wish/demand; it is bad b/c they got/kept something
3) Something must be changed about it one way or another before Trump can claim some sort of accomplishment, therefore it is bad b/c it needs to be
4) Did I mention Obama did it?

Trump knows NOTHING about anything relevant to making an informed, rational decision on this matter. And he doesn't want to or care to. It isn't even a matter of different philosophies or priorities regarding deterence, monitoring, verification, national security concepts, regional security concepts. He views this matter as a means to completely unrelated ends. He will do that which benefits his ego first, his pocket second, and screw everyone and everything else third.
