Imagine if ALL non republicans joined together, ignored personalities, including

those in DC and simply agreed to vote for ANY democrat, just twice, 2018 and 2020.

Could save the country, maybe the human race.

2. the problem has been with democratic voter apathy...time and time again too lazy

to get out and vote...too lazy to register to vote. I think trump has done more to rile these people up than anything we can say to them. And we the rise of the 21 and younger voter....heavily democratic in nature

When we all vote, we win

3. I just hope those young voters vote for democrats and they arent

discouraged by overt criticism of the party by those who claim to support the party.

4. I think the kids see the danger with trump and the GOP who are

subservient to entities like the NRA. Democrats are like a family who squabble but we can set down and enjoy a holiday meal in peace

5. The danger of course is if someone is constantly saying the D party is corrupt or wrong

or needs major changes, then if the young voters here that they may sit out or vote 3rd.

We assume they understand what is at stake, that voting for the D party is literally how they will not DIE, but they might not. Some of them for instance may not understand the party with ONE MORE seat than the other decides EVERYTHING and the party with ONE less seat decides nothing.

6. its a small minority of naysayers, usually on the far left spectrum who think America is a

left-center country when in fact we are a center-left...its a huge difference when you look at the rightwing who think we are a right-center and never have been. They benefit from an angry voter pool...much based on racism and their redmeat issues of abortion, guns and bibles. Their versions of "freedoms"...which we need to basically ignore debate against but offer our version of "freedoms" in the form of personal freedoms not dictated by fear, race, and all the rest.

the difference NOW is we have angry americans in the center-left realm and they are ready to do something more than just complain...but VOTE.

7. If Alan Grayson is in the general for a house seat in my district.

I will vote for that sick and twisted piece of shit. I will even drive someone to the polls to vote for him with me, not telling them what a horrid excuse for a human being he is.

That is how far I am invested in the party for the next couple of years.

9. Yeah, I know why you are saying this about him and I suspect it is probably accurate.

How depressing is that, if true.

Anyway, YES...the individual means nothing

THAT is the part some dont get. It wouldn't matter even if the individual NEVER voted with the party, that they give the party control is EVERYTHING

How do we get people to see that?

11. That's it!

I will now drive two people to the polls.

I'm with you on this. Completely.

The interesting thing is that I think you and I are the people who need to come together, and we are. This is an assumption on my part: I have a feeling you have been restraining yourself at times in order to put party first. You understand the gravity of the situation.

I had more typed out here. I have decided to go the route of an op in the name of your outreach and consistency. I won't name you in it.

13. Well in my case I am sketchy on Alan, I think your basis is the way he treated his wife? Not sure,

doesnt matter , I agree.

My issue is I am further left than 99.9% of those who claim to be far left, those who would be part of this new our revolution thing or those who support far left candidates.

I want us much closer to socialism but not full on, and I could list those things I want that most here would balk at.

I hold back about how far left I am because it DOESNT MATTER what a vegetarian wants when ordering at a

Churrascaria

because ALL they have is meat and that is ALL anybody talks about or eats. If I want a salad I go to a different restaurant.

If I want socialized blah blah blah blah blah, and blah, I wait until there are other politicians so inclined before I start litmus tests about things that CANT happen, yet. I even think there is an entirely different agenda at work and the socialism angle is a pretense, for some.

I am not sure where others stand on my socialism agenda, but here is the point, DOESN'T MATTER now, cuz it aint happening anytime soon, gotta put the FIRE out first. Thanks...

8. 'No true Democrat says/does/believes x/y/z'

We see examples of this fallacy here everyday - and we are ostensibly the distilled essence of party loyalty. Sure, I'm all for unity and expanding the big tent, but human nature suggests otherwise.

Speaking of humans...those on the right are woefully bereft of the human qualities that preclude acting against one's best interests.

10. Not sure of your point, I said every human being who is not a republican, if they voted

for Democrats these two times, might save the world.
