General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThese posts which tell people not to watch or that the poster isn't watching so you shouldn't are
ridiculous, IMHO.
I'm going to watch this because it is in fact a National Event. Afterward, I will render personal judgement as to whether it was worth my time. I read many many posts here which I deem after I've read them as worth not-so-much, but that's ok and part of life.I watched Nixon's speeches after Watergate decrying the investigation and didn't feel that it was an utter waste of time: it's part of the process. If you don't want to watch, then don't. The rest of us can make up our own minds as to what we would like to do and don't really need to be shamed into not watching due to others' opinions or sensibilities.
It isn't a distraction: it's part of the whole, the gestalt, as it were and it is what we have fallen victims to after the sham/travesty/steal of a Federal Election by traitors. I wish to be informed as to every nuance of the potential fall of Democracy. I can make love or walk my dog afterwards.

I mean, no "Andy Griffith." Checking MeTV for DC:
https://www.aol.com/video/guide/tv/over-the-air/lineup/USA-OTA20500/
(20500 is the ZIP code for White House.)
WTTG, the local Fox Broadcasting O&O station (NOT Fox News; there is a difference), carries MeTV on its Channel 5.3. The programming goes right from "Touched by an Angel" (yecchh) to "Columbo." No matter which episode of Columbo that is, I've seen it already. Several times.
Channel 11.2 in Baltimore, ditto.
Sorry. Sometimes there is no justice. Except on channel 9.2, "Justice." All the psychic detectives you'll ever want to see.

(57,370 posts)It was shown in widescreen. I fell asleep halfway through, so I don't know how the bad person (a woman this time) slipped up.

(102,192 posts)I'm sure there are many reasons why an individual would choose not to watch, but when I try to reconcile why a DUer would be seemingly working so hard to get the rest of us not to watch, I am flummoxed.

(3,515 posts)see what we see. That is a message that he, as a narcissist, cannot easily understand.
It's important to watch to night, not for what we will learn (probably nothing we don't already know) but for what Trump will learn from the fact that we watch.

Mueller is on the case. That's what's important.
Our "opinion", not so much.

(57,370 posts)You count too. Don't think so? Look at Doug Jones and Lamb. Those outcomes weren't given. They took work. They took money. They took votes.
I think it's swell that Mueller is on the job, but that doesn't mean that I can quit. You can't either.
Don't ever take anything for granted.

(26,256 posts)There have been some irritating, and some down right insulting things going back and forth. I finally stopped responding to the most offensive.
Hopefully we can have some good, respectful discussions after the segment ends. Of course I also hope I can teach the cats how to mix me a good Manhattan, so my expectations can be kind of lofty.

(1,366 posts)I can hear the "reviews," and then if it's nothing . . . but if it's something, I can watch. I can FF through the silliness if it exists, and watch it again and again if it gives me pleasure.

(3,515 posts)There are not likely to be a lot of amazing revelations, but . . . .
just watching is a statement to Trump that he will read correctly and understand. It will say to him: You fool, you stupid fool. We know who you are.

(8,652 posts)Put aside the salacious aspects of this interview. Trump, Cohen and perhaps others in Trump's orbit may very well have committed serious crimes in the process.
Add to that the internal pressure Trump is getting at home, and you can just see a "freak out" by the Moron-in-Chief.
I'm guessing Melania is cold as ice, and certainly under Presidential scrutiny and security, Trump can't satisfy his "ego" as he could when he was a private citizen.
Fuck him. I hope he's miserable and rots in hell when the time comes.

(14,565 posts)The worthless threads on this site are ones like, "Am I the only one who doesn't care about the Winter Olympics?"
Sometimes I agree with the premise of that type of thread, and mostly I disagree. There should be a separate forum with all of them stickied since invariably they deal with an activity that comes around again. In one thread we can read the same posters ripping the NCAA tournament in 2003, and 2007, and so forth.
