With the ascension of John Bolton to the White House, war is all but guaranteed.

One of the unspoken Republican mantras is that war validates them. How can you as a,loyal citizen, question anything they want to do if we are at war? This will be how tRump sees a path to save himself from impeachment, indictment and trial.

Once war is started with whomever, doesn’t really matter to tRump or his co conspirators, he will attempt to end all efforts to investigate him and end constitutional guarantees as a condition of fighting the aforementioned war.

John Bolton is the architect of the misleading information that sent us into the Iraq war. He still wants to go back and finish the job and will enable and encourage tRump to preemptively strike North Korea. It’s what he does.

This is how and why the republicans are avoiding bringing tRump and his chaotic administration to task. They think he will save them also with a war. Because, remember, how can you be a loyal American if you don’t support the war effort? If you are indeed a non loyal citizen I’m sure the tRump administration has places to put you until the war is over.

I think that this time it will take the draft to get enough troops. Imagine trump doing that. tonyt53 Mar 2018 #1
Very likely it will be a war between Trump and Bolton, and the damage will be confined to D.C. nt Binkie The Clown Mar 2018 #2

I can't believe we are going to be there again. Will Americans fall for the same shit all over? Will my car be keyed again if I put on an anti-war bumper sticker? Will we be eating "freedom fries" and pouring out wine if France doesn't join in our follies? I told my sons then we would be living through very dark times back then, yet this time seems like it might be much worse. WE were called anti-american because we questioned the causes.

The fact is that most Americans seem to love war. They prefer fawning over our veterans and wounded warriors (at least in public, not when it comes to the government actually taking responsibility for them) rather than avoiding the bloodshed altogether. They love rallying to the primal cry rather than asking why.

I am truly afraid we learned nothing from the Afghanistan and Iraq fiascoes.
