It is time for the entire republican leadership to visit Trump and tell him the truth. Its over.

He must resign or he will be impeached. They must face the truth. The Trump presidency will not survive the Mueller Investigation and all the other things that are heading its way, the Manafort trial, Stormy Daniels investigation and all the other lawsuits that are being filed around the nation.

It is to late to stop the investigation. Any attempt now would be a crime and political suicide. Mueller is going to charge Trump with many serious crimes. He will not survive it. Trump left behind his own version of nixon tapes. His twitter account, TV interviews and campaign rallies. Thousands of lies, a mountain of evidence. If the republicans try to protect Trump they will destroy themselves.

The democrats are going to win back the house and things will get much worse for Trump.

The Country, the people cannot go through what is heading our way. It would be horrible for the entire nation.

Its time for the republicans to face reality. Trump must resign for the good of the country.

Trump cannot survive what is heading his way. It's going to be brutal. The entire weight of the American justice system is going to crush him.

Then he'll throw up his tiny hands and whine how he was betrayed.

Then he'll storm out of the White House after taking a dump on the presidential rug and pissing in the Lincoln Bedroom.

Or maybe he'll just succumb to a long delayed stroke.

IAE, he'll be an asshole to the end.

It took Three Years to take down Nixon.

The wheels of justice grind very Slow.

Nothing significant is going to happen until at least after the mid-terms.

Sorry to say.

1) Remember that there were Congressional and GAO investigations in 1972 about Watergate/Nixon campaign finance. These fizzled, and that was when the Democrats totally controlled both the House and Senate. Here, we control nothing, and the investigation has still moved, thanks to Bob Mueller.

2) It's only when Democrats really ratcheted up pressure through the Senate Watergate Committee a/k/a the Select Committee on Presidential Campaign Activities in 1973 that things started to crack.

3) It took the combined effort of the Special Prosecutor, the Congress, and the courts to finally bring Nixon to his knees. That took from February 1973 to August 1974. Again, that's when Democrats controlled much more than they control today.

4) Right now, we don't have any part of the Congress. As noted by others, the key for "all of us" (i.e., every right thinking American outside of Bob Mueller's team) is to do everything possible to win every election at the local/state/federal level available. Let the Mueller team do its thing and in its own time (IMHO, they have already done a helluva of a lot). Allow the "rest of us" to do our own thing, which is winning back power at all levels.

5) It takes time, but there are still many right-thinking Americans (Ds, Rs, and Indeps) who will be shocked at what comes out. And it will come out! What happened with Nixon was bad, but what happened with Trump is beyond belief.
