Ellen DeGeneres calls on Trump to ban elephant trophy imports

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday reignited her call for President Trump to reverse his administration's decision to lift a ban on allowing elephant trophies into the U.S.

"Elephants aren’t trophies. I’m not going to stop talking about them," DeGeneres tweeted, resurfacing a months-old clip from her show, in which she called on Trump to reverse the decision.

"Mr. President, I am begging you to change your mind and protect these majestic animals," she says in the clip.

The Trump administration moved earlier this month to reverse an Obama-era ban on some big-game trophies, such as elephants, being brought to the U.S.
