4:56PM...here in PA 18...

Just had a knock on a door from a Conor Lamb canvasser. Her husband served in the Marines with Conor Lamb in Okinawa. He was in the car with two young children...they are not from the area but said they had to help Conor because he is such an upstanding person. We have to win this!

5. I just got home (10:00 PM here)

I had to get up at 5:00 this morning to be in Sprout City on time, so I probably won't be able to stay awake for the result, but I will not need sweetener in my tea tomorrow morning if we Lambaste Saccone at the polls.

6. When Dan Malloy was elected 8 years ago by 10,000 votes, we were still making calls...

....until 10 minutes before the polls closed.

11. Thanks for your help with Malloy

Malloy won two very close elections. However, because of the state's long term fiscal problems, he's had to make a lot of tough decisions that have made him unpopular across the political spectrum. But, whoever was elected governor would have been stuck in the same crappy situation. There were strong rumors that if Clinton had won, he would have ended up somewhere in her administration because of his unpopularity back in CT. (My guess is transportation secretary, or maybe the #2 person there?)

20. That was the rumor, that he would have a pretty big job in Clinton's administration.

The first election took a week or two to decide, and it was actually only 6500 votes (second was 28,000)

When people talk about not making a difference, I explain this to them (not taking any credit myself):

He had five offices, each with about 100 workers. We started making calls in September, for 10 weeks (generally 2 nights a week), making phone calls. So if each of the workers convinced one person each week to vote for him, that was the difference.

15. I have read about both of their backgrounds. I don't know how any decent person who

has informed themselves about their backgrounds and voting records could possibly vote for anybody but Lamb. The problem is that most evangelicals/baptists/christian re-constructionists and are not decent people and this is who we are up against. They are sick, evil people who will vote for anyone who will promise them a theocratic government. I only hope that more reasonable people come out to vote for Lamb.

21. Looks as if

Conor pulled it off.

Kornacki just declared him the winner. Said there were only 200 votes to count and it would not change the out come.
