A key member of the Chick-fil-A public relations department died of a heart attack this morning ... this in the middle of the biggest PR crisis the fast food chain has ever faced.
As Chick-fil-A came under fire for its stance against gay marriage ... Perry spoke on behalf of the restaurant chain in an effort to smooth things over with the public ... promising to "leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena.

Wonder if the Chck-fil-A supporters will blame the stress of the boycott on his heart attack.

(8,317 posts)But yea, I would say that might be a reason.
He probably got a lot of pressure from higher up to smooth things over.

(8,492 posts)The stress may very well have added to his condition. I had my first heart attack at work. Loved, loved, loved my job, but it was incredibly stressful and I worked an avg. of 10 hours a day. My doctor told me if I didn't quit, I'd die.
My best to his friends and family. This has nothing to do with our feelings about the company.

(22,239 posts)I am gay and find the policy of Chik-Fil-A to be abhorrent.
I had a heart attack a few months back and it sucks.

(13,462 posts)But he was working for a fast food chain, maybe he ate fried chicken sandwiches and waffle fries too often?

(56,177 posts)Actually, I'm being snide because if someone from a pro-marriage equality group died this week, the wingnuts would be blaming it on angering God.
Sucks for his family.
