What exactly is wrong with Yahoo??

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/10-old-gives-gay-marriage-speech-nyc-city-162704066.html

The comments almost make me sick. It's a great story about a 10 year old talking about gay marriage and all of the crazy loony bigots come out to talk of their idiocy. Comparing homosexuality and pedophilia. Saying that the kid will get Sandusky'd. What kind of freaks are there in this world?? What has caused people to say such horrible things in the form of "anonymous"?? That place, Yahoo, has turned into a cesspool of name calling and Republican talking points. Do they even have any moderators for the comments??

prevalent the sickness is ... I quit most forums/blogs because often the comments are bigoted and illiterate. Youtube is another example of freaks making comments. I also think there are a lot of bigoted plants in some forums with an agenda. Yahoo is probably open game for that, another is Topix, what a vile forum Topix is ...

I also used to belong to some stock groups on Yahoo. I quit that because the comments were hostile and illiterate.

Google groups falls into the same IMO ...

It's great to have already taught a toddler to be a bigot and get the positive reinforcement of an entire congregation for singing his little diddie of bigotry. But to have a 10-year old talk about equality, love and commitment when it's in support of same-sex marriage - well that's just beyond the pale.

Gees, who was more Jesus-like?

almost always centers on hatred and bigotry, absolutely nothing to do with being Jesus-like, which is their cover for their hate groups.

Angry, racist, intellectually deficient senior citizens whose hatred and anger naturally draws them to the Republican Party. They used to have to stew in their misery in solitude, or take it out on those in their immediate vicinity. Now, with the internet, they have found a means to vent their anger and hatred into the public domain. It is a release for them, they are driven to the equivalant of standing on a street corner and screaming their obnoxious crap to passers-by. They are not the majority of the Republican Party, but they are the very visible tip of the metephorical iceburg of hatred, racism and extremism that lurks below the surface.

And Yahoo news does seem to be their favorite place to congregate and be hateful.

of crap when they are more or less anonymous.. and all of it is full metal crazy. Even when I read SFGate.com, most of the people who respond don't even live in San Francisco. They are right wing rabid Republicans looking to spew their vile crap hoping it will make San Francisco think its gone RED.

It hasn't and people know that.

I do have a Yahoo email addy which I try to avoid using. I also have a YIM signon which has been spammed to to the point I cleaned it up once, tried it again, and got spammed again to the point I just gave up.

The few times I actually check my Yahoo email, I have to jump through 39 hoops just to verify my password.

In a word, Yahoo SUCKS. I have no idea how they are still in business.
