They "asked" for our written "thoughts" on appropriate professional attire for teachers (read: you WILL rubber-stamp our demands for ties and nylons). As this had occurred soon after a school shooting and right after a staff intruder crisis training session, I suggested combat uniforms with bullet-proof vests and sturdy steel-toed boots.

This did not go over well.
