Among other things, Trump can no longer claim that none of the indictments had anything to do with Russian interference.

(19,558 posts)That should help motivate some Republicans to keep Russia out of our elections. Any one of them hoping to challenge Trump in 2020, or whichever candidate the Russians pick next, could also fall victim to Russian influence.

(768 posts)I liked the precise language that was used. I do not have the actual quote but Rosenstein was very careful with his words, saying things like the indictments do not allege that Americans were knowingly involved. But he did not say Americans definitely were NOT involved.
Americans could have been colluding with the Russians but, at this time, he is not saying that was the case.
Did I get that right?

(10,252 posts)Rosenstein was very careful to a) not over-reach, and b) not give away the cards that he's holding. Trump was an idiot to have maligned the justice dept, and especially Rosenstein and the FBI.
