In the past two years, the internet has given us The Dress, a photo of a mysterious missing leg, and this disorienting floor design.

If you're still hungry for more, INSIDER rounded up a mix of classic optical illusions, baffling viral photos, and mind-boggling designs that'll leave your head spinning and illustrate how our brains process and interpret color, peripheral vision, size, and more.

6. Sorry - wasn't meant as a dig at you

I just hate how websites present these things. They never make it easy to see all the content without having to click through multiple pages and having a myriad of ads popping up all over the place.

5. I feel like that describes about 75% of the internet these days

Another 20% is just porn; maybe 5% is actually readily usable and conveys useful information without bombarding you with advertising and/or malware.

These numbers are not the result of a scientific study...but seriously, so many sites are just garbage these days...or they just present a godawful user experience thanks to all the adds and clunky code making everything run slow as molasses...

7. Definitely a huge pet peeve of mine

I can't even deal with so-called mainstream normal websites (like CNN) and all their videos that start running automatically (usually starting with ads).

4. Wow

I'll wait for my daughter to come home from school to enjoy this together.
