DEMOCRATS DO NOT CONTROL THE GOVERNMENT! SO THE ULTRA LEFT NEEDS TO END THE CIRCULAR FIRING SQUAD!
I am SICK TO DEATH of people on the ultra left bashing Democrats as "cavers" and all the rest of that stinking rotten SHIT when the Dems don't even control the god damned government! The R's have both Houses of Congress, the White House, and the Supreme Court, thanks to many of the Dem bashers staying home and not even voting, or voting third party for goofballs like Jill Stein. MANY Bernie voters (and no offense to Bernie because I like him) refused to vote for Hillary because of sour grapes. This was ONE of the major reasons that scumbag Trump got in.
Now the bashers are bashing over the budget deal and the DACA issue. NEWSFLASH: If the Dems were in charge, DACA wouldn't even be an issue. It would be DONE. But we CAN NOT TOLERATE A SHUTDOWN!! There are in fact OTHER issues. The Dems do not control the government, so they got the best damn deal they could on domestic spending and economic investments. DACA will have to be done separately. And they are trying to do that. So, here is what the bashers need to do. REMEMBER THAT ELECTIONS ACTUALLY MATTER AND VOTING ACTUALLY MATTERS. Get up off your butts in EVERY SINGLE ELECTION, GO TO THE GOD DAMNED POLLS, and VOTE THE RIGHT WAY. I am not saying the Dem Party has been perfect. It hasn't been. It needs to get a better message and run better campaigns. (Lately it has been getting better, though there is still much more work to do.) BUT, bashing the Dems now only helps Trump and fuckface scumbag R's and serves NO other purpose. Go to the voting booth, put Dems in control, and they can have some power and do more with DACA. Meantime, elections have consequences. So it is what it is. Not happy with Trump? Not happy with ReFUCKlicans in power? Then go VOTE and VOTE THE RIGHT DAMN WAY! AND BRING TEN FRIENDS WITH YOU!

53. What he is raving about is that you used a Russian word in your post to imply that the OP is Russian
rather than addressing any of the valid points he makes.
It is not acceptable for Democrats to bash other Democrats and it is even less acceptable for Democrats to vote in the interest of Republicans or refuse to vote. If either of those ideas leads you to believe that the OP is a Russian, that says more about you than it does him or her. The word you used, tovarishch, is a Russian word meaning friend, comrade or, ally. |

Challenging emoprog types to become "correct" is almost exactly as useful as demanding the same of their counterparts from the right. Gas on flames. Same for malicious intruders, volunteer or paid. They love this stuff. |

41. You're talking about those on the noisy fringes who always
squabble and complain, though, no matter the issues or candidates of the moment.
The Democratic Party could never have become America's gathering place for our enormously diverse population to achieve common aims if even a third of our people were squabbling, ineffectual malcontents. Or the our-way-or-no-way sorts. The eternal resentful noise from the fringes does not indicate numbers and power. Not back when Jefferson and Madison created the Democratic Party and never since. No matter how much the media inflate it to create fake drama. |

folks who are crying now. The Democrats didn't let dreamers down...you all did when you voted for Stein or even in some of the JPR types for Trump...or maybe you stayed home. The dreamers would be just fine if you had not decided to 'send a message'. You want to blame someone Sarandon, Turner , those who complain incessantly about Dems at the nation and at Salon...look in the mirror.

voters away from the party which I think is the goal of these fake progressives who are not Democrats.( Third party riffraff). We need to stop thinking of them as being on our side because they are not. They want a big revolution and then from the ashes they build their paradise...of course millions would be hurt or killed but they don't care. The lack of empathy for average people is one of many traits they share with their Republican buddies. Revolution which leaves a place in ashes never works . But most are not students of history and don't know that...dumb as rocks in my opinion and not Democrats. We should have nothing to do with them and hit them just as hard during election as Republicans with ads and speeches because for all intents and purposes that is what they are.

25. Valid Point, But Dems Need Daily Counter-Message
The bashing each other over the "how to...how much" on specific issues is counter productive, and not needed at this point.
Criticizing Dem leaders for their silence, due to internal debates, is valid. There is no reason for the continued silence. Dem leaders can, and should, respond to the daily horrific dismantling of programs that directly help or protect Americans, the environment, etc. without arguing among ourselves. We need to respond to the criminal acts against our country, and our democracy every day. WHAT THE HELL IS THEIR TO DEBATE? The nightmarish attacks against our country by the Trump Administration, and congressional republicans, gives ALL democrats, and independents, ample material to speak out. Ultra left, middle of the road, and conservative Democrats need to STOP attacking each other. Take turns going after republicans. Every time Trump's face appears on the news, so should a democratic leader calling out his lies. |

If the group you mention who are simply oppositional. It’s like a state of being. More often than not solid leftists but they are inherently attracted to what they see as problems. We are not needed, nor are we wanted. We get ONLY what a modern day fascist and his congressional henchmen are willing to give us and then ONLY by paying a king's ransom. We end that ONLY by retaking the government.
That being said, and without pushing the canard that a determinative portion of the voters of this country are BOTH "centrists" AND hold those views with such conviction that they cannot be persuaded that the left presents a better option than the right, tell us how paying off blackmail makes us more attractive to voters? I agree bashing our brand is absolutely insane. Showing the strength of our brand is at least an option we should be able to discuss without suffering through these kinds of attacks. |
