Rep. Gerry Connolly (VA) makes an excellent point on MSNBC

Commenting about Trump's tweet about being "totally vindicated", he questioned why he would say such a thing? The memo didn't mention Trump. It didn't accuse him of anything. So why did Trump assume that it was about him? It didn't accuse him nor vindicate him? What kind of guilty monsters are living in his head?

Again, tRUMP is going on and on and on about not colluding, etc. and the likes. He is acting like he's guilty, period. I bet his attorneys are (or already are) going nuts w/ tRUMP as a client.

He would never stand for anyone "smarter" than him to be working for him.

He has the worst attorneys on Planet Earth on his team. Good attorneys prefer a) to be paid, and b) their clients to listen to them and shut the fuck up when they're told.

I guess Nunes' job is to be the Vindicator. CNN Transcript:

(JOINED IN PROGRESS)

DONALD TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: And with that, let's get going. And thank you all very much. Appreciate it.

QUESTION: Mr. President, do you feel vindicated by Chairman Nunes?

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: I somewhat do. I must tell you, I somewhat do. I very much appreciated the fact that they found what they found. But I somewhat do.

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: Thank you very much.

As far as I know, the reporter who asked that question was never identified. I'm guessing it was totally a plant, either from a friendly right wing organization or even White House staff.

He claimed Comey said three times that there was no collusion that involved Trump, and then he fired Comey.

Yup. Our president has a guilty conscience.

As many of them are Evangelicals. Who are easily fooled and can be convinced of anything. (They also believe in a talking snake, virgin birth, and a God who created everything including time itself. But never answer how God came into existence). They will use the Bible as their proof, a book written by other men thousands of years ago, and then rewritten by the Catholic church who took out all the interesting bits that cast any shade on their role as overlords of the Christian religion. "It says so in the Bible!" Like that is all one should need for proof.

In the same way all they need is for God's chosen President (and such a godly man he is) to say "totally vindicated!" as proof that the whole investigation is a sham, and Trump is not guilty of anything....other than being the greatest and totally stablest genius President in the history of the universe.

How do you deal with a large segment of brainwashed idiots....without calling them idiots, because that makes them mad? One of lifes enigmas.

Fear is what moves men. The fear of going to "hell" for your "sins" was inculcated into these people long ago as the ultimate means of control, along with a sham set of "morals" by which they can compare each others degree of fault. You're right, you can't disagree with the adopted values of of a bunch of people without them getting pissed off at you, because they have tied their whole lives to this screwy idea and when you attempt to point out that for you personally (just you, not them) that this idea is screwy, you get serious backlash, because as far as they are concerned you are telling them their lives mean nothing, and this bothers them, because people prefer anything to being nothing. Just look at the Nazis.

I used to think that the internet would open up a new age of self-education. That sure there are fake news stories, but that eventually most would compare all the many sources saying basically the same thing, based on scientific facts, compared to the few CT raving sites based on no facts, and they'd come around.
What I dont think anyone predicted was how Google, FB and other social media runs on algorithms on your history and then feeds you stories that fit your narrow framework. Great in some ways, I prefer for instance getting news without a conservative or Republican slanted position, without having to wade through them. But what it means is the other side is being fed what they want to see, which is mostly all fake news and crazy CT about Democrats. Its a perfect tool for, say, a hostile foreign government to take advantage of to sow division.

So yes, more and more people are getting the ability for access to greater information. The problem is they are steered only towards their own narrow predetermined positions. So that freedom of information is useless.

There are so many monsters in that Monster's head it's no wonder he can never sleep. I sincerely hope this bout with the law causes him to go completely catatonic, gives him a massive stroke, or a debilitating heart attack. He deserves nothing better.
